5 Ways to Get Involved with Resilient Danvers

Our work to make Danvers a safe, healthy, and resilient community - for us and future generations – will not become another local government plan that gathers dust on the shelf.  Our Climate Action, Sustainability, Preservation and Resiliency (CASPR) Plan will be the first step on our journey to creating the sustainable future we want to see. And we want to make sure that our action plan represents the priorities of our community.

Whether you’re looking to dive into climate action this summer, or just want to stay in the loop about what the Resilient Danvers team is working on, there are opportunities for you to get involved!

5 Ways to Engage:

  1. Share your thoughts in our community survey. For our plan to be aligned with the priorities of our community, we need to hear from you! Take a few minutes to share your concerns, priorities, and ideas for how we can address climate change and create a stronger, healthier, and more resilient Danvers.
  2. Volunteer with us. Have some time on your hands and want to get more involved in community action? Join our volunteer team to attend events, become a social media ambassador, and support our efforts to catalyze the conversation on climate action in Danvers. Any and all volunteer time is appreciated and all community members welcome!
  3. Use your network. Amplify the conversation about climate action and get more of our community engaged by sharing newsletter content, social media posts, and other resources with organizations or groups you’re a part of. Find these resources on our website.
  4. Just talk about it! Having conversations about the climate impacts we’re feeling now (looking at you, rising temperatures…) and what we can do about it makes a big difference. Talk to your friends, family, and coworkers about the risks and realities of climate change, and how we can take action – both as individuals and as a community.
  5. Stay tuned. There will be more opportunities to share your thoughts on the CASPR Plan this fall. Sign up for occasional email updates (and follow Town Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts) to hear about opportunities to share your input with us.

Making a difference takes a village.

The more people are involved, the more successful Resilient Danvers will be. So help us build the movement!
