Hey Danvers! Today, we have a special blog where we asked Resilient Danvers team members how they are planning to have a sustainable summer. Take a look at our four team members’ responses and explore some additional resources to join our team on their sustainable summer pursuits!
Sustainable Shopping
- Erica plans to focus on sustainable clothing this summer – an excellent idea, as the seasonal change to our closets often comes with a lot of clothing waste. In Danvers, residents can utilize our curbside textile recycling service, check it out here.
Reducing Waste and Collecting Water
- Tanya and Sharon are each using rain barrels this summer to irrigate their yards and water their gardens. Rain barrels are an excellent way to reduce water use and waste. Get a $100 rebate from the Town of Danvers for up to two rain barrels!
At-Home Composting
- Jeff is utilizing the Black Earth curbside composting services to make home composting easy. Explore Black Earth’s services and get your bin to start curbside composting today. Want to do backyard composting instead? Use the educational resources from the Town website.
We hope you have a sustainable summer! Make sure to check back each month for more sustainability tips on our Resilient Danvers blogs.
